Online doctor NZ

Start online care now—without booking a video appointment

Choose what you need help with and begin any time. Quinn gathers a focused history, then a registered New Zealand clinician reviews your request and makes every clinical decision.

Online doctor available now—what that means at Quindlee

You can start a suitable non-urgent care request now, without waiting for an appointment slot. The current clinician-review time is shown before you submit. Quindlee does not claim instant clinical completion and is not an emergency service.

What makes Quindlee telehealth different?

Many online GP services use a booked phone or video appointment. Quindlee uses an asynchronous pathway for suitable, non-urgent care: you provide the relevant history first, and the clinician reviews a complete structured request. That can work well for straightforward problems that do not need an immediate physical examination, video call or test.

Quinn is an AI health assistant, not the treating clinician. It asks focused questions and prepares the information for review. A registered NZ clinician remains responsible for the assessment, prescription, certificate, care plan or redirect.

What online care can help with

The live care menu includes common everyday presentations and service requests. Availability and suitability are checked before you submit.

  • Short medical certificates for work, school or study.
  • A one-off bridge of an established regular medicine when eligible.
  • Selected common symptoms and conditions that may be assessed remotely.
  • Clinician advice, prescriptions or a care plan when appropriate.

Browse the current care menu rather than assuming a condition can be treated online. When your history is uncertain, a diagnosis needs an examination, or hands-on care is safer, Quindlee redirects you.

How a Quindlee consultation works

  1. Choose a care option. The menu explains what is currently available.
  2. Answer focused questions. Quinn gathers the history a clinician needs and checks whether the pathway still fits.
  3. Review before payment. You see the current review time and price before submitting. Payment is charged only after clinician approval.
  4. A clinician decides. The clinician can approve, change, ask for more information or redirect the request.

When telehealth is not enough

Online care cannot safely replace every in-person assessment. Symptoms needing examination, vital signs, imaging, laboratory testing or urgent treatment may require your usual practice, urgent care or hospital. Quindlee is not an emergency service.

Can I start an online doctor request now?

Yes. You can start with Quinn at any time without booking a video appointment. The current clinician-review time is shown before you submit; Quindlee is not an instant or emergency service.

Is Quindlee an online GP?

Quindlee is a clinician-reviewed online care service operated by WeCare Health. Your reviewer may be a registered doctor or nurse practitioner working within their scope. It is not a self-service AI diagnosis tool.

Do I need a video call?

Not for the pathways designed for asynchronous review. If a video, physical examination or test is needed, the request may be redirected to a more suitable service.

Can anyone in New Zealand use it?

The service is designed for people accessing care in New Zealand. Individual pathways may have age, location, clinical or enrolment requirements that are checked before submission.

Clinical governance: Dr John Ko, FRNZCGP, Clinical Director. The clinician reviewing each consultation remains responsible for every individual clinical decision.
